Sukkur: Sukkur IBA University in collaboration with Community Development Program (CDP), Planning and Development Board, Government of Sindh organized a mega summer science exhibition for the students of Class-IX & X studying in Government Schools of entire Sindh in which 50 projects were displayed. The purpose of this mega exhibition was to offer opportunity to students to showcase student projects which they undertook during their 20-day training in Summer Science Camp. The purpose of this program was to impart inquiry-based science education to the students of under-privileged background at Sukkur IBA’s five Community Colleges. It also explored hidden potential among the students of government schools to become future scientists and technologist. Highly qualified faculty of Community Colleges taught students five important subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science through projects and practical activities in groups. Vice chancellor Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqi while addressing the closing ceremony of this summer science camp said that, Science and Mathematics was the mother of all discipline. “If we want to be among developed countries, it was only possible when our youth play major role in success of the country”. He congratulated all the students and teachers on successful completion of the projects. Students from different schools also shared their experience, what they learned and how those project activities helped them to enhance their knowledge and skills. At the end of the exhibition, parents, students and people from civil society visited the student stalls and keenly observed their projects.
